1000 Voices

1000 Voices

The Barnard Castle VISION team is working to make Barney the best Market Town in Britain, the best place to shop, visit, work and play.

The VISION is setting up a 1000 Voices panel, a group of 1000 local people who together will help create the Barnard Castle of tomorrow.

If you live in Barnard Castle or Teesdale you are invited to join 1000 voices, to put forward your ideas and tell us how you feel about ours.

As one of Barnard Castle’s 1000 voices there are many ways your voice can be heard.  You can come to meetings, send comments by email, attend events, tell us over the telephone, write a letter or do all of these things.  You can get involved as much or as little as you like.

If you are interested in being one of Barnard Castles 1000 voices, please contact us to join by calling Janet Seaman on 01833 696 600 or email 1000voices@barnardcastlevision.co.uk

The first 1000 Voices Panel event took place at Teesdale School, Prospect Place, Barnard Castle on Saturday 7th February 2009 from 10.30am to 4.30pm. The event provided an opportunity for panellists to meet one another, the Vision team, learn about Barnard Castle Vision projects and put forward ideas and comments.
