• I would like to see an M&S food hall (like the one in Morpeth) as that will attract shoppers. I'd also like to see an all-weather family social facility e.g. bowling or a truly child -focussed restaurant with activities.

Active Barney

The Vision continues to work with Teesdale School, the Leisure Centre and sports clubs in the town to explore the feasibility of expanding the facilities at the existing Sports Centre on Harmire Road to create a sports village, including: a Lifestyle Centre offering specialist rehabilitation programmes, tailored exercise and nutrition programmes, hydrotherapy facilities, spa facilities for the general public, beauty services, alternative therapies, a green café and healthy eating ‘club’, access to therapists/advice.

Teesdale Community Resources has secured £5 million bid for new Youth Hub leisure facilities at Shaw Bank.
