Artisan Quarter

To link The Bowes Museum with the antique, arts and crafts sector of the town and the Bank, the Vision has developed plans for an Artisan Quarter.

This has been realised through the conversation of a former car salesroom to create NeST, a new art gallery, studios, digital hub and cafe.

What's in it for me?

Gallery - an exciting changing set of exhibitions throughout the year, with the gallery available for hire for art exhibitions, launches, shows, demonstrations and classes.

Studios and Digital Hub - workspaces and hotdesking with WiFi for artists, creative and digital businesses.  Membership from £30 per month.  Guest and occasional passes for visiting creatives.  Meeting space for hire.

Cafe NeST - the new place to meet.  A daily changing menu using fresh locally-sourced ingredients.  Free WiFi.  Furniture by local designer-makers.  Take-away food made to order.
