Glass Box Design

Designed by Xsite Architecture http://www.xsitearchitecture.co.uk the Vision Information Point is conceived of as a beacon and takes the form of a glass box. A minimal steel frame supports a series of vertical glass panels to form the two primary walls of the Box. These panels are facetted to describe a curve and are staggered in both plan and section. In addition the glass panels vary slightly in reflectivity. The combined effect is to reflect and reinterpret the surroundings in which the Box is sited. This passive mode is complemented by the use of lighting and projection equipment within the Box to enable lighting effects and information to be projected onto the surface creating an electronic billboard.
