10/03/2008
The Hadrian Healthcare Group has lodged a planning application to provide 21st century innovative elderly care on the site of the former Richardson Hospital in Barnard Castle. The Group is the highest quality provider in the North of England for residential and mental health care. It has taken advice from Stirling University on the design of the facility to offer the best care environment.
The development is worth £6 million pounds and will deliver 50 jobs. 85% of staff are expected to be employed from the local area. The Vision is working with Hadrian Healthcare and Bishop Auckland College to prepare young people for these employment opportunities.
