Guild Easter Bunny Prize Raffle drives customer sales this Easter
29/03/2009
Barney Guild, the retail association, has launched a special Easter Raffle with a grand prize of a beautiful giant Chocolate Easter bunny. From Saturday the 4th of April, shoppers in participating retailers in Barnard Castle will be given a free raffle ticket which will be entered into a prize draw when they spend over £5 or more.
“We are urging shoppers to get into town and start spending, because they will be ‘hopping’ mad to miss out on such spectacular prizes,” said Barney Guild Chairman Douglas Palarm.
“Seriously it’s a great way to celebrate Easter and cheer everyone up,” he adds. “All the participating retailers have contributed financially to make the Easter Raffle possible and they see it as a way to say thank you to their customers who shop in the town and support the local retailers.”
The competition runs from the 4th -14th of April and the winning raffle ticket will be announced by Barnard Castle Vision Project Officer Annalisa Ward on the lunchtime show with Katey Wallace on Radio Teesdale on the 16th of April.
And, as well as the grand prize, there will be two runners up prizes who will each receive a luxury Easter Egg so all three names will be announced and the winners notified. Participating retailers will be displaying posters of the grand prize draw and a list of retailers can be found on the guild’s website at www.barneyguild.co.uk.
