The people of Teesdale are now be recipients of a brand new subscription-based WiMAX broadband service offering an exciting alternative for homes and businesses in Teesdale.

A new support service is being introduced by the Digital Dale project which will help residents in Teesdale get connected to broadband.

Backed by Durham County Council in conjunction with One North East, the new network is being installed by Networks by Wireless and led by Barnard Castle Vision in coordination with a number of local partners including South Durham Enterprise Agency, Teesdale Action Partnership, Teesdale Village Halls Consortium, North Star Housing, local businesses and residents.

“This new service is set to transform lives,” says Project Manager for Digital Teesdale. “Broadband is vital to sustaining communities, attracting and growing businesses.Teesdale now has one of the most advanced networks in the country, creating many exciting new possibilities and business opportunities.”
